Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong gilt over famille rose motif porcelain vase. The porcelain potted in vase shape, globular lower body, slight oval, tapered gracefully toward straight tall cylindrical neck, straight mouth rim, with close rim, raised on a slight tall small foot base, with slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in green under glazed base color which contrast against the famille rose and gilt overglaze. Famille rose hand painting depicted vividly hand painted in colorful design, famille rose translates to the pink family, on a colored ground decoration. Each bulging sides enclosing colorful falangcai, famille rose on a colored ground decoration, of BaJiXiang. The main belly adorned with snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through flowers blooms, scrolling interlocking tendril in a gilt color dragon squama to chasing flaming pearl amidst fresh green foliage, banded with interlocking key fret on the foot base, Geometric on the shoulder and thrashing wavy lishui water on the upper mouth rim. Each section enclosed with single thick gilt ring lines. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
