This stunning Chinese panel/frame is ornately carved with Greek key pattern, nicely carved vines around the border and dragons along the bottom.  Frame appears to be rosewood and has mortise and tenon construction with no nails and can see no traces of glue.  The glass panel insert at the top has gold characters and a paper backing, that is held in place by thin brass hand made brackets.  The back panel of the frame is held in place by hand carved wood sliding locks that slip into grooves along the inner frame.  Included is what appears to be Chinese themed print on a linen type paper that will be left in to show as an example of what it looks like with art, but it is easily removed and can be replaced with something of your own choosing.  Overall approx measures 39 1/2" x 21 1/2".  The bottom of the frame is squared off, top has subtle curves.  The base is slightly lighter wood and is ornately carved with scroll details along the base and the feet.  Construction is appears to be the same with mortise and tenon joinery.  Overall height of frame and stand together, 47 1/4" x 25 3/4" x 19 1/2".

There is wear to the finish along the bottom and partially up the sides from stand.  Slight gap in front right between frame and stand.  Overall is very good.
