SCARCE signed "Gala" Lorraine Gala Lewis Mimbres Quail pot. Lorraine Gala Lewis is Taos, Laguna and Hopi decent.She studied at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe New Mexico where she studied under Ralph Pardington, Otellie Loloma (Hopi), and Manuelita Lovato (Santo Domingo). In 1987 she began working with Nathan Begaye. He mentored her in the traditional style of pottery and figurative forms. Her work is inspired by and creates contemporary versions of prehistoric pottery. It is her hope that she brings honor to a culture that refined pottery making. $20 DOMESTIC SHIPPING
