Korean War USMC Vandergrift style uniform jacket named to Pfc. Philip R. Douglas, 3rd Marines, 3rd MARDIV who served in the Korean War. In the pocket is a bullet that struck a wheat penny. Consignor stated that Douglas received a Purple Heart as he was wounded by this bullet which struck his chest but was largely stopped by items on his person, to include this penny which he made into a keychain. He stated he was unable to acquire the Purple Heart medal or any other items from him when he purchased the jacket many years ago. Comes with consignor's purchase notes on a card.
