Venetian reverse painted glass large centerpiece bowl, enthusiastically decorated with scenes of The Carnival of Venice, the characters in 18th century attire in front of the Grand Canal, the bowl centered with Venice's Coat of Arms depicting St. Mark's Lion holding an inscription "PAX TIBI MARCE EVANGELISTA MEVS (Peace unto you, Mark, my Evangelist)." 4” H x 18.5” diameter. Provenance: Removed from a 157 East 57th Street estate.
