This cache of 19 Turkey Tail cache blades, includes nine that are notched Fulton variety with remaining either stemmed or just blade form, all but two in hornstone flint, also called Harrison Co. or Wyandot flint, remaining two are St. Louis (4 1/2" long) and Upper Mercer gray (7" long). The Hornstone blades are three 7" long; plus three 6 1/2" long; plus one 5 1/4; one 3 5/8"; one 4 1/4; one 4 1/8; two 4"; two 3 7/8"; & two 3 1/2. This cache is mounted on a heavy card stock board with copper wire with 41 other flint bifaces and projectile points, including three other hornstone pieces, two Archaic bevels and ovate blade, likely Archaic; plus Ohio Flint Ridge 4" long cache blade; plus Early Archaic Dovetail point, 2 3/4" long, other types from most other periods in a variety of flint types. All in walnut Victorian frame, as it was found hanging in Hamilton County, Ohio Saloon, circa 40 years ago by Carol Lewis and purchased from the saloon owner. The cache is circa 1000 B.C.E.-400 B.C.E. It is unlikely that anyone will get the opportunity to purchase a finer cache of Turkey Tail points in the next 100 years. Condition Fine.
