Francois Lafon (1846 - 1920). oil painting on canvas laid on board depicting three nymphs near a lake. Measure 13 5/8"in H x 10 1/2"in W and 24 1/2"in H x 20"in W with frame. Francois Lafon learned to paint at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts under teachers such as Alexandre Cabanel. He began to exhibit successfully at the annual exhibitions of the Paris salon as of 1875.
