Description
Zuni 1970s Prize-Winning Turquoise Cluster Sterling Silver 3.5" Wide Cuff W/Prize Ribbon - This stunning Native American piece is an early 1970s turquoise cluster cuff. This piece is crafted of solid sterling silver and features brilliant blue 8mm-24mm inlaid turquoise set in sawtooth edges, accented with coiled rope-textured silver wire and raindrop beads. This is a prize-winning piece from the 1973 4th Grand National American Indian Western Relic Show, and comes with the Judges Award ribbon. According to our seller, her parents started in the Native American jewelry business in 1972, and the family would travel to the New Mexico Native American reservations and purchase pieces directly from the tribes. They eventually went into the gold jewelry business and have kept these pieces in their private collection for over 40 years. The cuff has an incised "ZCA" maker's mark. Measurements: 3.5" wide x 6.5" inside circumference. Condition: This piece is in excellent vintage condition with all inlay intact and a lovely patina.
