Provenance/additional info: Familiar figures from forever popular nursery rhymes were captured by noted quilt artist Ruby Short McKim. A Charming example of her work, distinguished by her very Art Deco treatment of the figures. McKim is a noted and collectable quilt designer of the era whose work is always sought after in small and in regular sizes. The figures are all created with black outline embroidery. The 'framework' is hand embroidered thicker black spiraly lines that create an inner outline for the group within similarly framed in black thread. In really good condition, some minor thread loss here and there that does not detract either from the overall visual appeal and the historic value of this uncommon pictorial crib quilt.
