Rose Kennedy 1943 TLS to Her Children
Kennedy matriarch Rose Kennedy typed letter signed to her ''Dear Children'' dated March 11, 1943, 2 pp., Palm Beach, Florida. Letter measures 8.25'' x 10.75''. Near fine condition, with envelope to a Mrs. M.J. McCarthy in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, affixed to a 6'' x 4.25'' card, included. From the collection of Ronald Hoskins, assassinologist.
Kennedy writes at length of her family, ''I have not heard much from Joe since he has been at Norfolk [Naval Air Station]...Kathleen was down last weekend to see him and said he seemed quite fit...she is going to work as Staff Assistant for the Red Cross...I finally received the Stanford entrance application sheet for Pat...I will ask ex-President Hoover to do what he can to expedite the whole thing and put in a good word for you...Teddy is coming down on March 19 and Bobby expects to come down a little later...Jack had some very good photographs taken...[signed] Mother''.
