Two Chinese Wei Style Ceramic Figures. The first a painted gray pottery figure on horse back, with traces of polychrome paints; the second a standing female figure wearing a tall hat and long robes, resting both hands on the long stick. {Approximate height: 8 5/8 inches (22 cm)}. Provenance: Property from the collection of Dr. R. Goldschmidt of the University of California, exhibited at the San Francisco Chinese Exhibition in 1937, purchased from Hammer Galleries, New York with the original receipt. Condition: Extensive surface wear.
