Picasso (after) 1881-1973 Signed in pencil Lithograph, Edition 200; Titled "La Ronde-b/w"; Published by Paris Peace Movement, 1955 (Printer: Mourlot, Paris) Sized 26" x 20". Picasso's image titled La Ronde was donated by Picasso to the Paris Peace Movement in 1955. Picasso, an avowed leftist, was a supporter of the organization and donated images to them regularly in lieu of money. Picasso would then authorize them to make limited editions from the drawing and allow them to keep all the proceeds. In the case of La Ronde, Picasso gave them permission to print a lithograph on heavy paper. Picasso signed the lithograph in the stone in the lower right hand corner so the edition would have his printed signature. All of the images are numbered in pencil.
