Antique Art nouveau mirror , carved wood simulating bamboo , the art nouveau movement like the art and craft movement used natural design , introducing nature in it vocabulary , furniture and accessories were designed with this motive at the turn of the 19th and early 20th , the mirror has a mercury backing with some light oxidation , giving it a nice patina .Wood backing , the mirror can be used in a landscape or portrait position but was most likely over a fire place in the 19th century manner. Stamped by Krieger a furniture maker from Paris .
