Description
Rare 18th c. walnut with pine pine secondary woods Queen Anne mirror. Found in the Ct. River Valley. Rosehead nailed dovetailed removable crest. Mirror frame and crest are solid walnut. Original etched glass with galleon ship, flowering urns, fern leafage. Deaccessioned from Historic Deerfield Museum, Deerfield Mass. Retains Museum ID on back of crest. Pictured on p. 271, The Furniture of Historic Deerfield, by Dean A. Fales Jr. (misidentified (1974-76) as European Origin, cited as found in Ct. Valley. 17" x 10 1/2".
