Description

Robert Taylor The Lancaster VC's Restricted Edition signed by 2 RAF WW2 Victoria Cross winners. This is from a Restricted Edition of 1500 published in 1982 and is supplied with the original Certificate of Authenticity. Signed by the artist Robert Taylor and Flight Lieutenant Bill Reid VC and Warrant Officer Norman Jackson VC who both won Britain's supreme award, the Victoria Cross, flying in Lancaster bombers during WW2. The print measures approximately 24 x 20 inches and has been stored flat, out of the light and is in very good condition. It is extremely hard to find this print in this kind of condition today as many were displayed and became faded over time. The print is in virtually the same condition as it was 38 years ago and shows no sign of any fading. Print historical detail : A superb early study of a pair of Lancaster heavy bombers as they set out on a mission over occupied Europe, painted against a powerful cloudy sky.
