Description
A very rare, old necklace of the Ifugao, called ‘Boaya’ comprised of woven rattan around Boars tusks and snake vertebrae. In the past, only successful head hunters were allowed to wear such adornment. This necklace measures 13.5 x 12 inches and was collected by the Museum owner in the mid 20th century in situ. Part of the permanent display at the Metamora Museum of Oddities, Metamora Indiana.
