An exceptionally beautiful American Victorian Crazy Quilt ~silk and velveteen 64Â” x 66Â” Entirely put together by hand with incredible attention to fun, fine detail. This Â“artistÂ” had a penchant for turkey stitching; ItÂ’s absolutely everywhere and In so many different colors and designs... do zoom to see how tiny some of the scraps are too.Each end is framed with 5.5Â” pieced striped taffeta and the backing is a nice shade of red which has been brought to the front to form 4 sides of narrow binding.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I have received a question which is ~ can this crazy quilt be used or is it for display only? my response ~ These antique crazy quilts are o l d so must be treated gently, best use is on a guestroom bed or displayed on a wall. It is not a good idea to 'use' them roughly, just respect that they are silk and over 100 year old.All beautiful crazy quilts are unique but this beauty stands way out in the crowd!
