Two Bes-Ben Hats with Feathers; One Red, One Orange, 1940s-1950s

This lot includes two hats.

THE FIRST
Orange looped fabric covered hat with side feather detail and trimmed in orange plastic beading.

THE SECOND
Black felt cap with red stripped coque feathers in front, edged in black velvet trim, and black net veil. Two hat pins included.

Condition: THE FIRST The overall condition is good structurally though the feathers have some broken barbs throughout and the fabric covering has some overall darkening. The back right has some small holes, likely from hat pins. THE SECOND The overall condition is good structurally though the feathers are brittle, there are some broken threads on the veil, and the hat sweatband ribbon has some light soiling. Everything is sold 'As Is'. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
