Condition: The overall condition is fair (the jacket) and very good (the hat) with the following: Structural Issues: There several splits in the lining along the neckline, shoulders, front bodice and back tails. Split/Separated Seams: Losses: There are several losses in the blue wool, most noticeably on the front left neckline and center front opening, the right waist, the back right wool tail facing near the bottom hem, and the back bodice at upper back level. The hat has a few popped stitches at the front brim and the braid trim "acorns" have lost some covering. Fading/Color Change: There appears to have been some overall fading to the shell and darkening to the cotton lining. Soiling/Spots: There is soiling under the arms as well as some smaller spots along the neckline and back shoulders. Insect Damage: The holes throughout could likely be due to past insect activity. The hat lining has some minor soiling along the crown. Repairs/Alterations: There is a repair made to the back left tail near the hem. Everything is sold 'As Is'. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
