A Louis XVI style gilt bronze mounted kingwood parquetry and Vernis Martin bonheur du jour Paul Sormani, Paris late 19th century The lockplate stamped P. SORMANI PARIS / 10 rue Charlet height 63in (160cm); width 43 1/2in (110.5cm); depth 22in (56cm)

Condition

Structurally sound. Well made. General marks, scratches, rubbing and wear. Vernis Martin panel dark and with heavy craquelure. Some mounts lifting, Some off and retained. Some loose. Top gallery possibly a replacement. Top cupboard door locked, no key. With mold spotting around writing surface. Otherwise leather good overall.
