Southeast Asia, Malaysia, Terengganu (formerly Trengganu, Tringganu), ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A fine fragment of a dye-stamped leaded tin money tree known as a Terengganu pohon pitis ("tin money tree") with three coins attached to a forked 'branch.' Each coin bears raised Arabic text that reads, "Kali Malik Al Adil" ("The Reign of the Just Ruler"). Size: 1.9" W x 2.125" H (4.8 cm x 5.4 cm); (each coin): between 0.8" D x 0.875" D (2 cm x 2.2 cm)

Condition
This is a fragment from a larger coin tree. Three remaining coins have light encrustations and are still attached to the lower body. Light earthen deposits and nice patina throughout.
