Large Edwardian Sterling Silver Tankard

hallmarked London, 1909-1910, by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co., Ltd., in the traditional late Stuart taste, with slightly tapering cylindrical body, hinged flat lid with scroll billet and "S"-scroll handle.

In overall very good condition. No dents, breaks or repairs. Light surface wear commensurate with age and use. No monograms/removals. Hallmarked (on the body near the upper handle mount) with 1) the sterling lion passant; 2) the London leopard's head; 3) the date letter "O" for 1909-1910; and 4) the G&S.Co. Ltd." maker's mark of the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd. The lid part-marked on the sleeve. Marks worn but legible.
