American Rosewood Half-Tester Bed, Stamped "C Lee"
third quarter 19th century, the serpentine tester supported by tapering octagonal posts, supporting a paneled headboard with a shell- and cabochon-carved crest, with shaped rails and octagonal foot posts, stamped "C Lee" in several places for the Manchester, Massachusetts, shop of Charles Lee, who specialized in beds for the southern market.
