Prior to the famous exhibit, The Arts and Crafts Movement in America, 1876-1916, organized by Robert Judson Clark at the Princeton University Art Museum in 1972, the Metropolitan Museum of Art's 19th-Century America: Furniture and Other Decorative Arts is regarded as the actual first rediscovery of works by Gustav Stickley.
Condition
Probably an old refinish. Original pegs but the washers are missing. Reupholstered years ago. Structurally sound.
