Description
Wedgwood, circa 1774. A Creamware soup tureen. On opposite sides, tureen is fitted with rope-twist handles. The form matches the engraved sketches in the 1774 Wedgwood & Wedgwood Catalogue.

Condition
Examination under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. The rim of the tureen with multiple chips ranging from small to tiny. The most notable being 3/8 inches long shallow chip. The tureen has three 1/4 by 1/4 inch chips on the exterior of the foot rim. On the interior of the foot rim, a notable chip 1 inch by 1/2 inch. There are multiple chips along the base rim.
