Description
With Kangxi Six-Character Mark And Of the Period. This vase was originally sold at Christie's New York, "Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art" (Sale no.#7276 May 30, 1991. Lot 238) With cylindrical flared neck and spreading foot, the exterior covered in a lustrous black glaze thining sulbtly to dark chocolate brown just below the white glazed rim. The interior with white glaze and the base with white glaze and having a six-character underglaze-blue Kangxi mark within double-concentric rings and of the period.

Excellent condition. After the firing of this and other heavily glazed Kangxi era pieces, excess glaze was filed away from bottom, please see photos to see evidence of filing in a few areas near footrim.
