Description
Four figure grouping with Bacchus seated upon a keg of wine holding his scepter in one hand and chalice of wine in the other while a bare breasted female is pouring wine into the chalice of a young Satyr as the Cherub pours from the keg. C 35 is hand impressed on the back of the porcelain and on the underside. Repairs have been made to Bacchus' hand holding the chalice, one foot of the cherub and to the grape vine on the backside of the grouping as well as the leaves on his laurel. The grape cluster on his scepter is removable. 10 1/4" x 6" x 12 1/2" high. Late 19th century.
