DUTCH DELFT TIN-GLAZED BLUE AND WHITE CHINOISERIE MOTIF EARTHENWARE ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, each featuring hand-painted scenes of birds perched on flowers, comprising a pair of footed flower urns with mask handles to each side and four evenly spaced drainage holes to bottom edge, having hand-brushed mark "148 / WK / 2" to underside, and a master salt with octagonal-shaped top, having hand-brushed mark to underside. 18th century. Urn 4 1/2" HOA, 3 1/2" D rim.
Each having characteristic glaze flakes and roughness on rim and foot; one urn with chip to rim and two chips to base edge; salt having chip to top and bottom.
Provenance: From the Maury Lloyd Hanson, Jr. Revocable Trust for the Nature Conservancy, to be used solely for acquisition of land in the Piedmont and Shenandoah Valley areas of Virginia.
