ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED IRONSTONE COMPOTE WITH UNDERTRAY, each having hexagonal form with underglaze blue floral motif and bright polychrome enamel decorations with molded gadroon border and peach lustre rim, including compote having six-footed form with open handles and applied rose buds at terminals. Each having blue printed shield with "STONE / CHINA / J & W / R" to interior with red hand-brushed "1193". John & William Ridgway, Shelton, Hanley, England. 1813-1830. 6 3/8" HOA, compote 9 1/2" D rim.
Undamaged, each having wear to lustre rim decorations and undertray with some short scattered scratches from use.
Literature: Transferware Collectors Club database pattern #5013.
