ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE SCUFFLE / CONTEST CERAMIC FIGURAL GROUP, on oval base with tree bocage to back, featuring two women appearing to struggle with a man, decorated in the round. Impressed "WALTON" to banner on back bottom. Probably John Walton, Burslem, England. 1806-1835. 8 1/4" HOA.
Having some imperfections including expected wear to enamel decoration, spots of restoration including arms and paint touch-ups, with losses to bocage and shredded clay grass.
