Description
NORTON FAMILY, NEW ENGLAND DECORATED STONEWARE VESSELS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, comprising a "1 1/2" gallon capacity jug stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT", and a "2" gallon capacity jar with arched handles, stamped "F. B. NORTON / WORCESTER, MASS". Each with slip-trailed cobalt floral decoration. Circa 1855 and 1880. 13" and 10 3/4" H.
Nearly undamaged, jug with minor flake to mouth and shallow chip under base, jar with small chip to interior of rim.
