Description
Provenance: The Estate of Eddie Krueger, San Antonio, TX
1960 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ25, originally purchased in San Antonio and owned by the Krueger family for 53 years, completely restored in San Antonio by second (current) owner in 2013-14, purported to have been originally purchased in 1959 for the King Ranch (though it never made it to the Ranch for unknown reasons). 113,633 original miles, starts and runs, new olive-grey canvas soft-top, front split bench and rear jump seats, restored A/C system, VIN#9FJ2512280, clean Texas title, includes the original owner’s manual and other documents as well as a collection of original parts and accessories. The 18 month body-off restoration included a repaint in its believed original creme color, a refurbished interior, and a complete electrical and suspension system overhaul using new old stock parts. Original owner Eddie Krueger nicknamed his FJ ‘Cutie Pie’ and towed it out to Big Bend National Park for many years to explore the backroads and trails there; original 1960 photos of this vehicle in BBNP are included. A rare opportunity to own a pristinely restored iconic off-road truck with a truly historic Texas backstory.
