beautiful brass engraved panel, 14" 22".It looks like one shown on page 227 of the Lucius Beebe book on railroad private cars, MANSIONS ON RAILS. The top half of a PRR fireplace looks very much like this panel. A beautiful piece with wonderful detail and wonderful conditon from a different world. There were no more than a few dozen private railcars with fireplaces in the history of thousands of passengers cars built for use in the US. This photo would date to roughly the World War One era.
