Egypt, ca. late 19th to first half of the 20th century CE. A fine pair of hand-sewn textiles featuring a pair of prominent Egyptian deities formed from fragmentary cotton panels sewn onto the larger textile body. One panel displays Ra Horakhty holding an ankh, a crook and flail, and a was scepter while striding atop a right-facing sphinx, two pyramids, and an obelisk. The second panel shows the goddess Neith holding an ankh and a was scepter while standing in front of a lotus-flower vase and above a sphinx, two pyramids, and an obelisk. Size of each (both are relatively similar): 42.25" L x 16.75" W (107.3 cm x 42.5 cm)

Condition
Both textiles have fraying to some interior elements, with light staining to original colors, otherwise intact and very good. Nice remains of coloration and iconography across obverse faces.
