A GROUP OF THREE ANTIQUE CONTINENTAL CLOCKS, 19TH CENTURY, a Néo-Grec gilt and patinated bronze mounted black marble clock, Second Empire (1851-1870), the breakfront oval case centering a circular beaded bronze and beveled glass bezel, opening to a gilt cabochon entre-lac detailed band framing a ring dial with stylized black Arabic numerals enclosing gilt metal halberd/spike hands, before partially exposed gilt brass clockworks and twin key escapements on a black marble face, verso gilt metal hinged door opening to brass clock mechanism numbered "3606 / 4 8," stamped pastille "FABRIQUE / ? F. MARTI ? / HORLOGERIE," with hammer strike gong and suspending a pendulum with bob numbered "3606," exterior flanked by shallow relief cast friezes depicting a classically robed youth grasping a footed columnar altar held in arms of a crouching man before a Greek warrior leading a Thracian matériel laden elephant, followed by a defeated king warrior and attendant youth before dancing maidens, continuing opposite with two victorious Greek warriors leading a processional with Nike driving Zeus in her four-horse chariot followed by maiden deities, raised on a stepped molding black marble base. Good condition with expected small edge nicks, light scratches, gilding wear, surface buildup and flaking varnish on black marble areas throughout, height: 8 3/4", width: 13", depth: 7 1/2"; a Napoleon III rouge griotte marble clock, Japy Frères clockworks, circa 1855, with a patinated metal figure of Cupid dancing on a fluted columnar pedestal centering a circular gilt bronze and glass bezel opening to an incorporated griotte dial with applied gilt Roman numerals, verso hinged bronze door opening to brass clockworks with stamped pastille "Japy Frères Medaille d'Honneur Expo Universelle Paris 1855," numbered 6842, raised on a circular socle and a square form plinth with relief carved Greek key feet on conforming gilt bronze pads. Some expected wear, minor chips on base, wear commensurate with age and use, height: 15", width: 6 1/2", depth: 6 1/2"; a Victorian single fusee brass skeleton clock, possibly British, late 19th century, the domed bell over brass clockworks within pierced panels of leafy scrollwork, centering an engraved and enameled Roman numeral dial, raised on an elongated stepped white marble base on ball feet. Surface buildup throughout, unsigned, verso etched letter "B", dome bell support broken and needs repairing, overall in fair to good condition, wear commensurate with age and use, height: 15", width: 17", depth: 8".
