AN ANTIQUE JAPANESE IMARI PARCEL GILT ENAMELED CHARGER, LATE MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912), the central seaweed and flower bloom mon style medallion within an iron red band encircled by repeating auspicious Buddhist symbols, within scenes of golden cranes flying in a celestial paradise among sprouting pine and bamboo divided by flower bloom painted fans and red lattice clouds, the exterior painted with peach fruits and blossoms, verso a four character underglaze blue mark. Diameter: 18 3/8"
Condition
Some surface wear, rubbing, minor losses of enamel and gilt, kiln bursts, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
