Description
This lot consists of an unframed ink illustration on paper, done in the comic book style of John Romita, Jr. (American, 1956 - ). Image depicts Spiderman, Batman, and others in dynamic poses. A handwritten inscription at lower right reads, "JR JR JOHN ROMITA". Unframed measurements approximately 10" x 7.75".
Reverse side of piece features a stamp which bears the name, "Malmboarg Art Gallery".
John Romita, Jr. (American, 1956 - ) is a comics artist known for his work at Marvel. He is the son of one of the main Spider-man comic artists since the 1960s, John Romita, Sr. Romita, Jr. first began drawing for Marvel Comics at the age of 13. Drawing great influence from artists like Jack Kirby, the Wyeth family of painters, and, of course, his own father, John Romita, Jr. is one of our most treasured living American artists.
