Set of (7) Victorian Era Cast Bronze Nesting Imperial Measures, engraved for "County of Ayr" and dated 1869, stamped set number '1427', these were used by H.M. Customs & Excise representatives to ensure traders were not short-selling their customers, all pieces with multiple official government stamps and hallmarks, engraved set includes: Half gallon, 6 1/8" high; Quart, 5 3/8" high; Pint, 4 1/2" high; Half pint, 3 3/4" high; Gill, 3 1/8" high; Half gill, 2 1/4" high; and Quarter gill, 2" high. Surface wear.
