Japanese Six-Panel Floor Screen
20th century, paper on a wood and lacquer frame with silk mounts, the reverse covered with red paper, painted with a continuous scene of a festival day in a mountainous village beside a river.

Condition
All panels, with the exception of the first on the left, have tears and/or punctures - damage is more
prominent on the bottoms of the panels and on the second panel from right. All panels exhibit some small
accretions and losses (mostly along edges), and a few of the panels have some light watermarks to
background. The back of the panels covered in a red felt-like fabric have scattered nicks and punctures.
Lacquered wood frame with some nicks and losses to lacquer along edges.
