An unusual and particularly fine version of the form with single-board top with deep overhang of free-edge to front and two rosewood butterfly joints to surface. The top with overall attractive presentation and warm grain patterning. The proper back left corner of top with some very fine and faint traces of white household paint. A few small darkened blemishes overall, not presenting incommensurate with overall grain patterning. Some faint trace scratches to surface across direction of grain, generally shallow and not detracting from overall presentation. The top with 7 1/2 in. dia. octagonally-shaped area of darkened staining at proper right side. Proper front left corner of top with 7 in. by 3 in. area of finish overcoat, slightly uneven. Shallow 1 in. by 1/2 in. dia. impression to surface top. Proper front right corner of free edge with a little uneven overcoat to finish, and one or two small filled losses. The free edge overall with normal, scattered scuffs, shallow scratches, and small impressions commensurate with age and use. Small nick/loss to back edge of top at proper left side. Back edge with scattered small nicks, shallow impressions, and areas of white, household paint transfer. The case in good structural condition, presenting with normal light scuffs and shallow impressions to various edges. Drawer fronts generally clean. Some with a few scattered, small blemishes including a few small impressions, shallow dents, and/or short scratches. Edges of drawer fronts with some moderate wear including scratches, dents and a few shallow losses. Third drawer from top at proper left side with older homemade repair to breaks at joints joining one drawer side. Adhesive residue and small losses visible at site of repairs. Repair is functional and does not hinder drawer use. Lower-most drawer front at proper right side with 3 in. thin loss to lower edge. Drawers glide open easily. Drawer interiors generally clean- some with a few small stains, scuffs, and signs of light to moderate use.
