The Apple II is the direct successor of the Apple 1 which was also developed by Steve Wozniak and marketed in 1977. Apple's rise to its position of world's most successful company began with the development of the Apple II. Unlike the Apple 1, the motherboard was delivered in an extremely well-designed plastic housing together with keyboard and (back then) state-of-the-art switching power supply. The design of the motherboard, with the possibility to add expansion cards, was an engineering masterpiece by Steve Wozniak. The Apple II motherboard is one of the most complex personal computers ever created by one person. - The model offered is from the first series, with an early motherboard revision 820-0001-03, 6502 CPU, 8 purple Mostek MK 4116P-3 RAM-chips, Prometheus MEM-1 extension memory card, Apple Disc Interface card, case with serial no. A2S1-22372, early keyboard version with large power-indicator. Not to be mistaken with the more common Apple II Plus. The Apple II runs on US 110 volts. Attached are two 5,25'' disk drives, 3 Apple disks and 21 further disks, early computer compatible joy stick, "ProDos User's Manual" with disk, "The Dos Manual" and "Apple II Reference Manual".
