Condition
This piece is what we call excellent environmental condition. Purvis used found materials, imperfect boards, anything he could get his hands on. For this piece he painted on board that had some holes in it, some weathering on the edges, and some imperfections to the board surface, which he painted right over. This is very typical of the materials that he used. The paint is bright and strong and the images are powerful.
