Takahara is a prolific Japanese print maker having produced works for the past six decades, and he continues to work and create timely pieces. He is professor emeritus at the University of Michigan. Sight including margin: 25" H x 18.75" W. Frame: 32.75" H x 26" w.Takeshi Takahara, Japanese-born American, is a master printmaker who today uses the intaglio process to produce his dramatic prints. A professor emeritus of printmaking and drawing at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, he has had over 40 solo exhibitions and more than 80 competitive, invitational and group exhibitions, both in the U.S. and internationally -- in Japan, Germany, Brazil, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Yugoslavia, Italy and England.
