Item Details

Description

Round Damascus barrel with smooth bore in cal. 15 mm. Cut barrel rib with Arabic writing, the breech with leaf decoration. Two stamped marks at the breech, one of them with the manufacturer's name "amel-i Hacci Mustafa", remnants of gold inlay. The miquelet-lock with gold-inlaid, slightly three-dimensional tendril ornaments. The stock entirely covered with sheet silver with chiselled and niello decoration. Three silver barrel-bands. Length 51 cm.Provenance: Hermann Historica, Auction 44, Lot 284.Condition: II
