Jacques Hyppolite is the nephew of Hector Hyppolite

Lot Essay: A primordial world is portrayed. Bees are as big as alligators in the river. Crabs and turtles crawl inland near rows of plants.
A less-known artist from the Jonathan Demme estate. Demme enjoyed collecting these works and exhibited them at home and in public venues alongside well known Haitian artists, celebrating them equally.
