Description
Mexico, ca. 1st-5th century AD. Two standing male and female figures on custom bases.
Ex: Estate of Diran Dohanian, distinguished art historian and Asian art specialist. Most of Professor Dohanian's collection was formed in the 1960s-70s, beginning when he was residing in India conducting research for his book, "The Mahayana Buddhist Sculpture Of Ceylon." He later developed a keen interest in Japanese and Chinese scroll paintings, a number of which are included here.

Height of tallest on stand: 9 inches / 22.7 cm
Height without stand: 7 3/8 inches / 18.7 cm
