20's/30's flower garden quilt, hand pieced and hand quilted with thousands of tiny hexagon pieces measuring 1/2" per side. The quilt measures 78" X 82" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall. Many of the pieces are "fussy cut," where the maker centered the fabric pattern -- usually a flower -- in the center of the hexagon piece. The back is white, the front and back are hand stitched right at the edge ("knife edge"), and the batting is thin.
