Handsome copper-brown patina blankets satiny, overall smooth surfaces that also reveal glints of lighter sandy-brown in isolated areas. Breen state IV, with a strong die crack through the tip of the bust to dentils on both ends and die clash marks on the reverse. A tiny rim bruise before Liberty's eye and shallow marks in the left obverse field, are the only blemishes of note. Boldly to sharply defined from a well executed strike, this is a pleasing coin in all regards that is sure to appeal to the dedicated early copper collector. Mint State survivors are elusive.
