ASSORTED PRESSED DAISY AND BUTTON NOVELTY CANOES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising two Marine Green and a colorless Hobbs example, and an amber Duncan example. Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. and George Duncan and Sons. Circa 1885. 2" to 2 3/4" H. 3 3/4" x 9 to 4 1/2" x 13 1/2".
One Marine Green having three bruises to the rim and one to the bow; colorless having scattered chipping to the rim with a moderate example to the bow; Duncan amber having a few minute flakes to the rim; remaining example undamaged.
Literature: Sanford - Victorian Glass Novelties, pp. 52, 53, bottom and top.
Provenance: From the Thomas Bredehoft collection, Saint Louisville, OH.
