This rare example, in cherrywood, descended directly from the notable Cheney Family of Manchester, Ct. In this remarkable local rendition, Elephalet Chapin's Philadelphia training & influence is apparent. Cherrywood with light wood pattern & string inlay. Seat corner block; eastern white pine.
